Finding a Brilliant Copywriter
If you want to earn money online, you're going to have to have a site. If you would like that website to bring in money, it should be written extremely well. Unless you are already a copywriter yourself, it's best to hire someone who is well-qualified to create the text for your website. A good copywriter will bring in lots more money than you would ever even be able to hope to see if you attempted to do all of the writing by yourself. Evidently, though, not every copywriter is the same as every other copywriter. Some copywriters have lots of talent. Some, on the other hand, have no talent but are trying their hand at copywriting as someone told them that online writing would be simple. Here is how you can tell the good from the bad.
Does the writer have his or her own site? Any copywriter who is itnerested to write web copy should have a website that features their bio, a resume, a few samples and anything else they want to share. If the writer doesn't have his or her own site, how will they help you build yours? Look at the copy on their website as well. If it is full of errors this is a terrible sign.
How well do you respond to the copy on the copywriter's website? This is more involved than merely finding grammatical errors and syntax errors. Does the copy move you to have any sort of emotional reaction? Does it make you warm up to the copywriter? Does the copy make you want to follow up and find out more about the writer? Does the copy make you raring to hire them immediately? Does the copy make you feel like you must click away? Does it push you to be angry? These are all important reactions and you need to pay attention to them.
Do your background research on the copywriter. Try to look for reviews on forums and unbiased sites. It's very likely that the only reviews you are going to see on the writer's website are going to be positive. Look online for the copywriter's name to find out if there are any reviews or personal testimonials that are not run and can't be falsified by the writer you are checking up on. Pay attention to these reviews and recommendations. You have to also request the writer to give you one or two references. Make sure that you follow up and genuinely make contact with those references so that you can site get an honest opinion from them.
See to it that you spend some time reading through the samples furnished by the writer. It is a good idea to ask for samples beyond the samples that can be read on the website. This visit is especially important if the copywriter states he or she address is an expert in a particular field. If the writing is vague and reads like a regurgitated Wikipedia article, you should move on.
You have plenty of choices available to you when you're trying to see whether or not to employ a copywriter. It's crucial to do your due diligence and look beyond the writer as a person and discover what you can about his or her reputation and character.
